Micron disposable filters typically last 3 to 5 months depending on use. There are many reasons to choose the Micropure alternative:

Filter faster and more efficiently than any other spa filter.
Quicker water recovery after heavy use, taking contaminants out of the water before they build-up and cause a decrease in sanitizers.

Micron disposable filters have a significantly better rating in both micron and efficiency.

Micron Rating: The smaller the number, the smaller the particles that will get filtered out.
The micron rating and efficiency of a pleated filter will decrease further after the first cleaning.
Micron filters will filter out significantly more weight of debris before becoming saturated.
