What do I Need for My Hot Tub?

To enjoy your spa safely and prevent unnecessary mechanical failures, you will need a few important items.

The most important step is sanitizing the water. You can do this by adding bromine or chlorine to the spa. We recommend using bromine for sanitization. Bromine has less odor than chlorine and is easier on your skin and eyes.

2 part bromine system: 1 bottle Enhance, 1 bottle Activate

Use the following products to adjust the pH and alkalinity level:

1 bottle of pH up, 1 bottle of pH down, alkalinity up, water test kit

Use a stain and scale reducing solution to avoid spa discoloration and build-up of scale on your mechanical parts. Chemicals for stain and scale control like protect plus, prevent damage caused by minerals in your water.

Last, you need a filter for your spa that will need to be cleaned monthly and replaced after 12 months of use. Soak your filter in cartridge cleaner solution to remove collected oils.

A water clarifying agent like natural clear and defoamer are also essential.
